Serving as the baseline control for its series, this bold expression is distilled from 100% Scottish Concerto barley, matured for five years exclusively in first-fill American whiskey casks, and bottled at a fiery cask strength of 59.9% ABV with a massive peat level of 130.8 PPM. On the nose, it opens with bright zesty citrus and earthy peat smoke that gives way to vanilla sponge cake and warm caramel, while the oily palate delivers a rich contrast of thick golden syrup, smoked almonds, and heavy bonfire ash grounded by a distinct maritime minerality. Finishing exceptionally long and drying with lingering notes of salted caramel and cold smoke, it is a masterclass in heavy peat that opens up beautifully with just a few drops of water.
